The restoration campaign for Beckenham's bandstand which David Bowie graced is in full swing.
Bromley Council is urging residents to buy a special legacy brick in support of the project, which can be inscribed with a message.
In partnership with Friends of Croydon Road Recreation Ground, the bricks will form a circular pathway around the bandstand.
All proceeds will go towards the restoration of the structure, which is expected to take place next year depending on funding.
Famous faces to have graced the stage include David Bowie, who performed there at the 1969 Beckenham Free Festival which he organised.
With the restoration estimated to cost £120,000, £15,000 has already been raised over recent years and it is hoped the £100-a-brick will boost this.
Chris Phillips, chairman of Friends of Croydon Road Recreation Ground, said: "There is clearly much interest in the bandstand, which has received interest not just locally and nationally, but overseas too."
Opening in 1891, the bandstand which lives inside Croydon Road Recreation Ground is thought to be last of its kind with many of its original features still intact.
Cllr Colin Smith, executive councillor for environment, said: "Whilst people quite rightly pay tribute to the superstar legend of David Bowie as well as the other musicians who have performed at the Bandstand over time, I would like to pay tribute to the Friends of Beckenham Rec.
"Their efforts have created widespread interest and their unstinting determination has been an inspiration for us all to draw from.
"Although this project remains in its infancy, their work is a testament to what can be achieved where the will exists to make things change for the better. So please, let’s all dig deep and let’s make this happen for future generations to enjoy."
A launch party is being held in summer next year, with a date to be set, with tickets costing £35.
