An injured woman was forced to hop through Lloyds pharmacy to pick up her prescription because they did not have sufficient disabled access.

Holly Bevan, 30, a hostel manager from Blackheath was due to pick up her prescription from the pharmacy on Old Dover Road on Tuesday (December 2) at 6:30pm for her broken ankle.

However, she could not gain access to the pharmacy in her wheelchair because the steps at Lloyds were too steep, causing a scene and creating a big queue behind her.

Staff at Lloyds' were unable to help Ms Bevan with the situation so she was forced to continue her venture on one foot.

She said:"The only alternative would have been for me to sit outside like a dog, and staff just didn't care.

"They did have a ramp outside so that was unusual but the ramp doesn't work at all so it's completely useless, I was holding a lot of people up."

Ms Bevan broke her ankle whilst white water rafting six months ago and has found being in a wheelchair very difficult.

"I'm not permanently disabled but over the last six months my eyes really have been opened, there just isn't enough disabled access in Blackheath."

Ms Bevan was also critical of the service at Lloyds, saying that they had got her prescription wrong on numerous times, leaving her in so much pain that she has been unable to sleep.

A spokesman for Lloyds Pharmacy said: "A customer has raised concerns with us regarding disabled access to our store on Old Dover Road, Greenwich.

"We take accessibility very seriously and have launched an investigation into this.

"We will report our findings to the customer on completion, and apologise for any inconvenience caused."
