Deptford Lounge will become a winter wonderland next weekend with festive fun for the whole family and a Christmas treasure hunt around town.
The landmark building will be transformed on Saturday, December 13, with a host of treats to get you feeling Christmassy.
Award-winning gospel singer Natalie Phillips, who has performed throughout the world and released several acclaimed albums, will perform as will south London blues rock duo Straw Dogs and rock-infused folkie acoustic singer Matthew Watson.
There will also be craft stalls to browse, storytelling, games, workshops for children and family film screenings at the free event from 10am to 4pm.
Dance and theatre duo The Other Collective will also provide entertainment.
The highlight of the day will be The Deptford Bear Hun, which begins on Saturday (December 6) and runs through to December 13, where you follow a trail around Deptford to spot hidden bears for the chance to win tickets to We’re Going on a Bear Hunt at the Albany.
Free flyers for the trail can be picked up at the Albany or Deptford Lounge.
We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, based on Michael Rosen’s classic book, is at the Albany from December 10 to January 7.
