The jury is out in the case of a Bexleyheath Academy vice-principal accused of having an affair with a teenage pupil.
Stuart Kerner, 44, is accused of having sex with the teenager in empty classrooms and cleaning cupboards all over the school in Woolwich Road during an 18 month fling.
His alleged victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was 15 when the affair is said to have begun.
After a trial which began on November 18 and lasted more than two weeks, the jury at Inner London Crown Court retired to consider its verdict at just after 2.30pm this afternoon.
Kerner’s alleged victim claims the religious studies teacher took her virginity in February 2012, nearly a year after the relationship is said to have started in March 2011.
It allegedly lasted until the following November.
But Kerner’s defence team maintain she is a “proven liar” who “stalked” the married teacher.
He denies six counts of sexual activity with a child and two counts of sexual activity with a child by a person in a position of trust.
