A Gravesend man was allegedly swindled out of £3,000 as part of a lottery scam.
The victim reported being approached by two Asian men in Edwin Street who told him they had a winning lottery ticket worth £2 million but they could not claim it because they did not have a bank account.
They offered to give him half their winnings if he agreed to look after it for them and if he paid them a £3,000 deposit.
He agreed and handed over the cash but has not seen the men since.
The incident occurred on November 18.
Officers would now like to hear from anyone else who has been targeted.
Any other victims of this type of crime in the future, should call Kent Police on 101.
