Six friends were very ‘appy after they clinched two awards at a Bromley College prize ceremony.
The team - Connor Sweeney, Harry Davis, James Kemp, Matthew Cuzen, Michael Kovalov and Sam Baker - were the big winners on the night.
The college, in Rookery Lane, toasted the talents of its students with 37 prizes awarded overall at the Bromley College Annual Awards Evening.
The app team succeeded in winning the Enterprise award, presented by Mayor of Bromley, Cllr Julian Benington, and the Principal’s Award for Outstanding Achievement.
The students, all aged between 18-21, devoted their summer to creating the technical masterpiece.
Entitled the ‘Bromley College App’ it is a comprehensive information service for their fellow students about college life.
Connor Sweeney, 19, said: "We are all so pleased to have won two awards tonight. We wanted to design an app that would really help other students to get the most out of their college life.
"We worked really hard on this project and are continuing to make updates and developments to the app.
“We are proud of our achievements and it is brilliant to be recognised for this."
Around 200 people attended the event, held at the college on December 2.
Sam Parrett, Principal of Bromley College, said: "The App team produced a quite stunning product – which they deserve to be commended for.
"The fact that they worked on this as a non-profit making venture, also reflects the truly remarkable altruism of these students. I am sure they all have a very bright future ahead."
The app is now available to download.
