Armed police arrested a man in Beckenham on suspicion of firearms offences.
A team from Operation Trident - which tackles gang related crime - arrested a man in Ravenscroft Road, Beckenham, this morning.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: "Officers from Operation Trident supported by armed officers arrested a man this morning on suspicion of firearms offences.
"He has been taken to a South London police station. Enquiries continue.
"There weren’t any injuries of firearms discharged."
The man is believed to be the sole occupant in the property at the time.
The spokesman added: "Officers are conducting a search of the property."

One eyewitness, who did not wish to be named, said: "I saw a man being arrested and in handcuffs, near the Cash4Clothes shop."
