A New Cross cyclist is still on the loose who stabbed one man and tried to knife his friends in a row over a cigarette.
At around 8.50pm on November 12, a 32-year-old man was walking along Queens Road when a man rode up on a bicycle and asked them for a cigarette.
Despite the group saying they had no cigarettes, he followed them, continuing to ask for one.
An argument ensued and the man dropped his bike to the floor, pulling a knife from his pocket before stabbing the 32-year-old in his forearm and attempting to stab the victim's friends.
He then picked-up his bike and left down Mona Road, turning right on to Dennetts Road.
The London Ambulance Service were called and the victim was taken to Kings College Hospital were he was treated for minor injuries and release later that day.
The suspect is described as a mixed race man of average build, with dark corn row hair. He is aged 16 to 21 and was wearing a dark blue or black tracksuit, a red top, a woolly hat. He had a British accent.
Anyone with information should call Lewisham CID on 020 8284 8468 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
