A Catford pub shut down a year ago and left empty for squatters to move into will finally reopen next year, its new owners say.
Solitaire Limited says it has "ambitious" plans for the Catford Bridge Tavern with a bar in the centre of the pub, a restaurant and a heated outdoor roof terrace to the rear.
There are also plans to refurbish the upper floors into one, two and three-bed flats.
Pub company Antic had turned the venue around from its troubled days as The Copperfield and looked to have seen off plans to build a supermarket there before it was booted out of the site in 2012, since when the tavern has remained boarded up.
A planning application for the new pub is due to be handed in to Lewisham Council next month.
An open evening to discuss the plans will be held on December 3 from 6.30pm. Attendance is by invitation only. Email info@catfordtavern.com or visit catfordtavern.com
