Stereo Kicks – including Welling’s Charlie Jones – didn’t let the sun go down on their X Factor dream in Elton John v Whitney Houston week.
The eight piece boyband, whose number includes 14-year-old Wilmington Grammar pupil Charlie, have made it into the final five acts of the ITV juggernaut.
Call centre worker Stevi Ritchie went home yesterday, having lost the sing-off against Andrea Faustini.
On Saturday, teenage band Only the Young departed with the lowest votes.
Having sung Elton’s Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, Stereo Kicks cruised into the next round and a finals spot looms ever closer.
