A driver had to be cut of his car by fire crews after a three-car accident on Plumstead Common Road.
Emergency services are on the scene of the accident, which took place near the junction with Bloomfield Road.
Police were called out at 2.04pm to the accident. Several people were injured in the crash, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
According to reports, one car was left on its roof. Twitter user @UrBoyCharles wrote: "Mad accident on plumstead common road....driver had to get cut out the car by firemen."
A section of Plumstead Common Road is currently closed and bus routes 51 and 53 are on diversion.
