A Catford man, known in the area as Fritz, has been jailed after footage appeared of his foul-mouthed rant on a bus.

Police had appealed for information after Fritz, real name Freticiso Brown, was filmed on the 208 bus in Lewisham Way last month, shouting: "Don't you ever f*** with me. 

"You don't know my reputation. I will shoot you bloodclart."

Since News Shopper published the video online, we have been inundated with messages of support for Fritz, something of a local celebrity in Catford.

We've heard tales of his time in the air cadets and an incident where he stepped in to save a woman under attack. 

But following the video the 54-year-old, of Ravensbourne Park Crescent, was arrested by Lewisham Safer Transport Team officers and appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court on November 18 where he admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

He was handed a two-week prison sentence.
