A care home provided an 'afternoon tea at the Ritz' style experience for its residents and the wider Sidcup community.
The event at Sunrise of Frognal was intended to improve understanding of dementia.
Bexley's Mayor Councillor Howard Marriner kicked off proceedings at the home in Frognal Avenue by presenting a £1,000 cheque on behalf of Sunrise of Frognal to Alzheimer’s Society.
Staff, residents and supporters raised the money at the senior living community’s summer garden party earlier this year.
Sunrise of Frognal’s director of community relations Rebecca Pearce, said:"The event was a huge success. It was fantastic to see so many people from the local area here.
"Alzheimer’s Society estimate that by the end of next year 850,000 people will be living with dementia, so it’s important we do our bit to improve understanding about it in Sidcup."
