More than 100,000 vehicles have been registered for Dart Change as the implementation of the new Dartford Crossing payment scheme approaches.
Since account registrations went live on November 5, up to 2,200 people each hour have visited the Dart Charge website to sign up for a pre-pay account.
Toll booths at the bridge and the tunnels will be removed and replaced by ANPR cameras recording each journey a vehicle makes.
The change is being implemented to ease congestion by removing the need to stop and pay at the barriers.
Highway Agency project manager Nigel Gary said: “For most people using the Dartford Crossing, a pre-pay account will be the cheapest and most convenient way to pay the crossing charge.
“I'm really encouraged by the take up so far, but urge all drivers who use the crossing to sign up for an account and benefit from the discount it offers.”
Dart Change will be introduced at 6am November 30.
