Welling's Jimmy Bullard shrieked and swore his way through his first I'm A Celebrity trial last night.
The former Wigan, Hull and Fulham footballer sounded like a foul-mouthed cockney version of Bruce Lee as he let out a series of high-pitched curses and cries during the Tunnel of Terror challenge.
No doubt spurred on by camp mate Carl Fogarty's threat - "If he comes back with nothing he'll get his head kicked in" - former Gravesend and Northfleet footballer Bullard showed considerably more guts than the previous episode when house husbands' favourite Melanie Sykes put him to shame.
Increasingly turning the air blue, he successfully conquered water dragons, eels and crabs - at least one of which he labelled a "b******" - as he made his way through an underwater perspex corridor on the hunt for stars and meals for his fellow camp mates.
But in a hilarious climax, the ex-Gravesend & Nortfleet man met his match, facing off with an angry snake by cowering behind a canvas covering.
In the end Jimmy came good, sacrificing meals for the sake of Allo Allo star Vicki Michelle joining the camp.
