Drivers using the M25 have been warned that delays are 'likely' as anti-clockwise lanes in Surrey are closed until tomorrow (November 16).

Anti-clockwise lanes between junctions 10 (near Wisley) and 9 (near Leatherhead) will remain closed until 5am tomorrow morning to allow the repaired road surface material to set completely, allowing the motorway to safely reopen following the repair of a defect in the road surface.

A spokesman for the Highways Agency said: "While the repair work is complete, the material has not hardened as expected and will need more time to set before it is safe for traffic to carry traffic.

"In the meantime drivers are advised to avoid this section of the anti-clockwise M25 and seek alternative routes.

"Road users should try and avoid the area where possible and allow extra time for their journey overnight or use alternative routes. Some delays are likely until the motorway fully reopens."
