Residents are being urged to recycle their poppies rather than chucking them away.
An innovative way to make sure the symbolic flowers do not go to waste is by returning them to The Royal British Legion, to be either re-used or recycled.
Between November 12 and November 24, a collection box will be in store at Sainsbury's in Beckenham High Street.
Catherine Gowers, corporate partnerships manager at The Royal British Legion, said: "We’re delighted to be working on this recycling initiative. The donated poppies will either be reused or recycled."
A poppy recycling box will be available at the customer service desk.
Sainsbury’s store manager, Michael Scott, said: "With this recycling initiative, customers can support The Royal British Legion to ensure their poppies don’t go to waste.
"We hope the recycling drive proves a success with our Beckenham customers."
