Schoolchildren from Orpington got an insight into the newspaper industry at south east London and north Kent’s number one newspaper this morning.
A class of 28 students from Year 5 at Blenheim Primary School made the three-and-a-half mile trip by mini bus to News Shopper’s Mega House HQ in Petts Wood to learn about how newspapers are written.
News editor Dan Keel taught the children how to write a news story.
He said: “It was an absolute pleasure to speak to the youngsters of Blenheim Primary School. They were enthusiastic, a pleasure to be around and asked a lot of interesting questions.
"They are most certainly budding News Shopper journalists of the future."
