An Erith care home is set to close as it is "no longer fit for purpose".
Avante Care and Support, who own Home Leigh, have confirmed plans to close the home in Avenue Road but say an official date for closure has not been set.
The care home company say they hope the 20 existing Home Leigh residents will relocate to one of three other care homes owned by Avante in Bexley.
Managing director of Avante Mark Lloyd said: "We haven't got a definite closing date but we have spoken with families of the service users about the planned closure of the home.
"Home Leigh is not fit for purpose any more - if we had the funds we would knock it down and rebuild but there are no funds to do that.
"We will not close the home until the last service users has found alternative accommodation."
