A fifth of all TV is now watched in a time-shifted format - either first recorded onto the hard drive of a set-top box or else watched on demand.
Almost half (46 per cent) of people in London mostly watch time-shifted TV.
22 per cent of viewers tune in to live TV only for must-see moments.
Just a third of viewers (32 per cent) predominantly watch live TV.
12 per cent of Londoners say they dedicate all their viewing to a single series at a time, with 39 per cent switching between different series depending on their mood.
36 per cent of Londoners are using second screens while watching TV, with 63 per cent of these multi-taskers typically checking and updating social media sites.
