Film stars, musicians and other big-name celebrities have joined forces with the NSPCC and Visit London for a walking trail which goes across the capital, including Greenwich.
Stars of the new Paddington film, including Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Julie Walters and Peter Capaldi, have been joined by other famous faces such as David Beckham, Michael Sheen, Emma Watson, Guy Richie, Bear Grylls, Boris Johnson, Benedict Cumberbatch and Darcey Bussell for the Paddington Trail.
The seemingly never-ending list of celebrities have designed some of the 50 Paddington Bear statues that will be placed across the capital at key cultural and landmark spots, including the O2, between November 4 and December 30.
The first designs were unveiled today, including actor Michael Sheen’s Paddington Shakesbear, The Saturdays’ Frankie Bridge’s Paddington Sparkles.
VisitLondon.com has also got involved and will have a section dedicated to the trail on their website, including a trail map to download.
The 3ft6ins tall statues will be auctioned later in the year to raise money for charities including the NSPCC.
The trail ties in with the highly-anticipated release of the film Paddington on November 28. Blackheath-raised Sally Hawkins, best known for starring in the Mike Leigh film Happy Go Lucky, also stars.
