“We choose the colours working from the Pantone Colour Institute, the gurus who set the colours for the fashion industry each year. My personal favourite for this autumn is cognac. It’s just this delicious rich copper that is going to suit any bridesmaid’s skin tone.”

Radiant orchid is the Pantone Institutes colour of 2014 and is a deep purple that has proved popular this year for weddings.

Meetings and events coordinator Rose Lawrie-Raison Richardson, of Brands Hatch Thistle, commented: “We want to give couples who are considering our hotel as their wedding venue the opportunity of seeing how our suites can look for their wedding day and have chosen radiant orchid as our feature theme.”
