A charity set up in the wake of Lee teenager Jimmy Mizen's tragic murder has opened a new cafe.
The Ten Thousand Hands Cafe in Ladywell Fields will raise money for the Jimmy Mizen Foundation, train young people including those with autism and provide a space for community use.
It follows on from the charity's successful Cafe of Good Hope in Hither Green, set up in memory of Jimmy who was murdered at a Lee bakery in 2008.
The cafe gets its name from an anti-violence campaign started by Lewisham teen Camilla Yahaya to promote a message of peace across the borough.
Jimmy's parents Barry and Margaret Mizen said: "We’re really excited to be opening our third café run by young people in Jimmy’s memory. We’d like to thank everyone who’s helped, especially the young people involved."
Secretary of Ladywell Fields User Group Robert Sheppard said: "We look forward to the café becoming a well-established and popular facility with an offer that caters for the diverse range of park users."
