A delivery van ploughed into a bus stop in Abbey Wood.
The bright red Parcelforce vehicle was heading north when it slammed into a metal pole supporting the roof covering Stop C in Harrow Manor Way at around 3.15pm.
The front of the Mercedes van was badly crumpled in the incident.
A person was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich with minor injuries, though the London Ambulance Service was unable to confirm whether this was the driver.
However it is not thought any waiting bus passengers were hurt.
Transport for London workers were seen helping to empty the van.
