A group of Dartford volunteers got their hands dirty over the weekend.
On June 26 a team of Volunteer Rangers from charity Sustrans removed five bags of rubbish and litter from the Old Joyce Green Tramway near the new Stones Estate in Dartford.
The Old Joyce Green Tramway is part of National Cycle Route 125, which is a long distance walking and cycling route connecting Central Park to the Thames. Volunteers regularly check the route and report back any safety issues.
Sustrans' Ranger Robert said: "We left no rolling stone unturned but gathered no moss."
"Having a clean, tidy and attractive route makes it so much more appealing for everyone - and our volunteer days are a great way to make a difference in the local community and meet more like-minded people."
