Ambulance crews, London's Air Ambulance and the police were all sent out to Woolwich New Road, next to General Gordon Square, at around 3.20pm today.
Police say the accident involved two buses.
A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: "Our staff treated a woman, reported to be in her 40s, for a head injury."
