Designers and independent fashion shops in Greenwich showed off their wares at a fashion show in Wednesday (June 11).
The catwalk at Greenwich Market’s Summer Fashion Show, the Carats and Frocks Charity Catwalk, was decorated with paper flowers from the flower stall Muscari Whites.
The children of the market’s stallholders opened the evening by modelling clothes from United Ideas and Nicola Quilter and jewellery from Beadoir.
Designer Victor Nartey of Qind Designs launched his tailored womenswear collection while accessories on display came from Sophia & Matt, Arty Globe and the winning designers of the market’s Win a Gem of a Pop Up Shop, which was organised to celebrate National Jewellery Week.
The Vintage Disco, DJ Lord Anthon and singer Alexandra Jones provided music.
The market stayed open late after the show with a raffle raising money for Breast Cancer Care.
Gillie Bexson, Head of Property at Greenwich Hospital, said: “Carats and Frocks Charity Catwalk was the perfect showcase for the Greenwich-based independent shops and stall holders, illustrating the fantastic shopping experience here in Greenwich.
“Coinciding with Jewellery Week this event gave the equally talented jewellers and accessory designers a chance to shine.
“Everyone worked together for a good cause and it was a great community evening.”
