People can have a look inside Lewisham police station - without having to get arrested first.
On June 29, the station - Europe's largest - will hold an open day from 10am to 3pm including tours of the custody suite and cells.
Visitors will be able to cast their eyes over vintage police vehicles and original police artefacts that include old-fashioned handcuffs and historic uniforms from the 1900s.
Children have the opportunity to take part in a junior detective’s competition, and there will also be the chance to stroke police horses and speak directly to officers.
Chief Inspector Graham Price said: "The open day promises to be fun and enjoyable for visitors of all ages and gives us the opportunity to engage with local people, provide them with an insight into the work of the police and to raise awareness of ongoing initiatives."
