Greenwich Police are appealing for witnesses after a sexual assault where a jogger on Winn’s Common had her clothes pulled down on Saturday (June 14).
Police say the 24-year-old woman was walking down steps towards King’s Highway when a man approached her from behind and pulled down her clothes at around 9.30am.
The victim screamed as loudly as she could and the suspect, who was wearing a blue top with a hood and blue shorts, ran away.
He is described as white, clean shaven, tanned, of medium build and possibly in his 30s or early 40s.
Officer in the case Detective Constable Alex Brown said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything suspicious on Saturday and perhaps saw the man running away from the scene.
“I am aware that a Nepalese couple, who assisted the victim, noticed a man acting suspiciously nearby King’s Highway. I would ask them to come forward and assist with our enquiries”.
Anyone with information is asked to call DC Brown on 020 8284 9543 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
