Police are looking to speak to two men who reportedly tried to snatch a dog from a women's hand in Northfleet.

Kent Police detectives investigating the attempted robbery have release the images of two men they are looking to speak to.

At around 10.30pm on May 17, the victim - a woman in her 40s - was walking her two dogs down an alleyway off Thames Way, near West Street, when she was approached by two men drinking lager from cans.

One of the men said he wanted to stroke the dogs.

The woman asked them not to and passed them with the animals but the two men became agitated and began following her, telling the woman they would take the dogs.

One of the men grabbed the victim by the wrist while the other took hold of one of the dog's leads. The woman pulled away and managed to run off with the dog.

Investigating officer, DC Julia Pexton of Kent Police, said: 'This incident left the woman badly shaken. She has helped us compile e-fit images of the two men who approached her and I'd ask anybody who recognises these people to contact me as soon as possible."

Both men are described as being around the ages of 25 to 30 and of proportionate build. One was around 5ft 8ins tall and the other around 5ft 10ins tall. Both wore dirty blue jeans and checked shirts.
