Bexley Council is asking for public comments on plans to improve parking provision in the borough.
Its draft Parking Strategy and Action Plan has been prepared following a review of the council's parking service.
This included a public consultation and collecting evidence on best practice from other parking providers.
Councillor Don Massey, cabinet member for environment and public realm, said: "The strategy has been shaped by a great deal of research and feedback from key stakeholders to make sure it is robust and practical.
"Parking is an issue which generates a lot of debate and the council has to strike the right balance between competing interests.
"The proposals look to address those parking issues which people felt most strongly about while ensuring the service remains viable and effective."
People can comment on the draft plan from June 12 to July 17 by e-mailing transportation.planning@bexley.gov.uk
The consultation document is available to download at bexley.gov.uk/parkingreview
All responses received will be considered before the final document is adopted and published in September 2014.
