A motorcyclist is being treated in hospital following a collision with a car in Northfleet.

The crash happened at around 8.50am in London Road, Northfleet when the motorbike collided with a Ford Fiesta.

Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to the scene.

A 33-year-old man who had been riding the motorcycle was taken to Darent Valley Hospital complaining of knee pains.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "The male was fully conscious when we arrived but was complaining of knee pains. We think the bike landed on his knee.

"He was treated at the scene and taken to Darent Valley Hospital for further checks."
