Tomorrow (May 22) marks the first anniversary of soldier Lee Rigby’s brutal killing in Woolwich by two Islamic extremists.
The 25-year-old father-of-one was murdered in Artillery Place as he walked back to the barracks in an unprovoked attack in broad daylight.
One of his murderers Michael Adebolajo was sentenced to a whole-life jail term earlier this year, while Michael Adebowale must serve a minimum of 45 years in prison for the appalling crime.
Up to 4,000 bikers are expected to take part in a Lee Rigby Memorial Ride to the barracks tomorrow to show respect for the fusilier and his family.
There are still no plans for a Woolwich memorial to the soldier in spite of thousands of people signing an online petition.
