A former Eastenders actress rallied together generous Dartford residents to raise over ᆪ1,000 to get underprivileged youngsters involved in performing arts.
Cheryl Fergison, who played Heather Trott in the soap opera for five years, held a fun day at Wisdom Estates on Spital Street Dartford to raise funds for her performing arts academy, Cheryl Fergison School of Creative Arts.
The event, which took place on May 17, was organised by Cheryl alongside Diane Wisdom of Wisdom Estates and saw hundreds of fund raisers enjoy a raffle, auction, games and refreshments.
Mayor of Dartford, Cllr Avtar Sandhu, also made and appearance at the event but the star of the show was Elvis impersonator, Scott Elvis.
The fun day raised around £1,400.
