What do you call the main meal of the day that’s eaten in the evening? Is it tea, dinner or supper?
Do you have any particular reason for using whatever name you give to this meal? Do you think there are any regional or class reasons to explain why people have different words for the same thing?
If you’re one of the many who call the evening meal dinner you presumably must sensibly call the meal in the middle of the day lunch rather than dinner like some people do. But what about Sunday dinner which is eaten at lunchtime? That just confuses things further.
Do you eat your evening meal at a dining table or sat in the living room with the plate on your lap?
And who gets stuck with doing the dishes in your house, or do you have a dishwasher?
