A PLAY about American farmers seeking a new life after being forced off their land by drought, looks set to pay dividends for people suffering from Parkinson's Disease.
John Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath was performed by third-year students from Rose Bruford College, Sidcup.
The event at the college in Burnt Oak Lane has become an annual fundraising tradition for the Bexley mayor's chosen charity.
In the audience for the performance were this year's mayor and mayoress, Councillors Brian and Aileen Beckwith.
This year's performance will help the mayor's chosen charity, the Bexley Parkinson's Disease Society, raise cash to provide a dedicated community service worker for sufferers.
After the performance, the mayor and mayoress joined the cast on stage to congratulate them and wish them well in their chosen careers.
