POLICE officers swooped on Danson Park this afternoon after receiving reports of firearms – but they turned out to be toys won at the funfair.
A 999 call was received at around 4.10pm and detectives rushed to the entrance to the park off Danson Road.
Officers from the Air Support Unit stopped and spoke with a group of men with plastic imitation weapons.
They were given words of advice but no arrests were made.
