PLUMSTEAD residents are getting an early purple Christmas rather than a white one as their homes and cars are wrapped in paper for Cadbury's upcoming advert.
Sladedale Road is being transformed into a purple wonderland as filming starts in SE18 for the ad - the chocolate firm's first festive campaign.
Houses, cars, street signs and even telephone wires were all wrapped in the purple knit themed paper
Chocolate-loving locals will be taking part in the ad - featuring a cast of 65 people who are given a taste of Christmas as they take to the street to explore the joy of their ultimate unwrapping experience.
Rick Lawrence, Marketing Manager Cadbury Dairy Milk UK says "We are very excited to be launching our first ever Christmas TV commercial. It’s no secret that chocolate plays a starring role in most UK households during the festive period and this advert is set to highlight that very special relationship between Cadbury and Christmas.
"These photos reveal the early stages of the shoot and we can’t wait to unveil the final commercial where the local street will be seen in all its wrapped up glory."
