Thirty years ago, a small number of ladies formed a group to raise funds for Cancer Research.
At their annual summer lunch the treasurer, Barbara Ash, presented a cheque to Lisa Aubrey, the Cancer Research London regional manager, for £300,000, the total amount raised over the 30 years.
The current committee members were delighted to reach this target. A good start has been made towards reaching their next goal and £2,113 was raised at the summer lunch.
At this enjoyable event Peter Hartley gave an interesting talk about his time serving in the Royal Household.
