BROMLEY libraries are inviting kids to get involved with a spine tingling scheme over the next few months.
The Summer Reading Challenge is free to join, available at all the borough’s libraries and runs until September 5.
The theme is Creepy House and it is hoped the initiative will help get children hooked on reading during the school holidays.
Porfolio Holder for Renewal and Recreation Councillor Peter Morgan said: "Summer is one of those times that we all take bundles of books away on holiday and get engrossed in different fictional styles and factual books.
"The Reading Challenge is a way of showing our children how exciting books can be – it motivates and encourages less confident readers whilst challenging more able readers."
