Keep cool while looking hot this summer, with hair styling tips from Laura Fleming, owner of Unique Hair and Beauty in Erith.
The Fishtail plait is bang on trend after hitting the catwalks earlier this year, with lots of celebrities adopting the look. Laura gives us her tips on how to create this surprisingly easy look.
1. Divide hair into two large sections
2. Pull a thin strand of hair from the outside of the left section, lift it over the top of the left section and pull it under the right section. Hold tight- the harder you pull on the strands the tighter the plait will be. For a looser effect, don’t pull quite so hard!
3. Repeat the process but on the right section, again holding the strand in place.
4. Keep alternating each side until you have reached your desired length of plait.
5. Try to use the same thickness for each strand to ensure the plait remains even throughout.
6. At the top of the plait, adding a nice flower accessory will complete your summer look!
