CELEBRITY interior designer Linda Barker has given a makeover to a Shooter Hill’s home for a "delighted" competition winner.
The former star of Changing Rooms cast her designer’s eye over Jackie Brown’s kitchen and bathroom, in Ashridge Crescent, to help her spend a £30,000 prize.
Ms Brown won the home-making haul - including £5,000 for soft furnishings, £20,000 on a new kitchen and £5,000 on a bathroom - when she sold her house with Abbey Wood-based Hunters estate agent.
She said: "I am absolutely delighted to have won a home makeover by such a successful interior designer.
"I have watched Linda Barker on TV for years and it was fantastic to have her in my own home, providing me with advice on how to make the most of it.
"I have no doubt that the results will be stunning and I can’t wait to see it when it is finished."
I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here contestant Ms Barker, who lives in Forest Hill, added: "As a previous customer, I am very excited to be working with Hunters and giving Jackie expert tips on how she can makeover her kitchen and bathroom; two crucial parts of the house.
"First impressions count, particularly when you are thinking of selling your home.
"For those not as lucky as Jackie, presenting your home well doesn’t mean a complete redecoration or spending money on new furniture, it just means a bit of time and effort directed where it matters most."
