WOOLWICH JLS star Marvin Humes has become a father.

His wife, The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes, gave birth to a baby daughter called Alaia-Mai this morning.

Marvin, who trained with D&B School of Performing Arts in Downham, announced the new arrival on Twitter.

He said: "Mum is doing great & baby is amazing. We are both overjoyed."

The couple married last year in a ceremony at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire with other members of The Saturdays acting as bridesmaids.

Rochelle's bandmate, Una Healy, is already a mum, after giving birth to daugher Aoife last year, and the group's Frankie Sandford is also pregnant.

The five-piece girl group scored their first number one in March with the track What About Us.

Marvin's hit-making quartet JLS recently announced they are calling it a day with a farewell tour later this year, together with a greatest hits album.
