A SHOP worker was threatened at knife point by a gang of masked raiders in Gravesend this morning.
Four black men, wearing black clothing and with nets covering their faces, went into Tasnim General Store in Bath Street at about 9am.
They pushed the victim out of sight of CCTV and forcing him to hand over his phone and wallet.
He suffered a head injury during the attack. Police were called at shortly after 9.20am.
Detective Constable Martin Carter has appealed for anybody who witnessed the men entering or leaving the shop to get in touch.
He said: “This was a cowardly attack on a local business. The offenders were brazen enough to do this in broad daylight in a busy part of the town and it is lucky nobody was more seriously hurt.”
Anybody with information is asked to call Kent Police’s non-emergency line, 101, quoting incident reference 20-0310, or contact Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
