A CAR burst into flames in Gravesend yesterday evening.
Police officers, firefighters and Highways Agency officers were called to Wrotham Road at 7.49pm.
Firefighters from Thames-side station spent 13 minutes bringing the fire under control while the Highways Agency team dealt with a fuel and oil spillage.
Police were called to control traffic passing the burning vehicle and because the fire damaged the road surface.
