GRAVESEND girls who travelled to South Africa to help the Young Zulu Warriors in their fight against AIDS are to be reunited.
Guides and Rangers Megan Koppen and Lucy Michaeloudis worked with South African charity God’s Golden Acre in the Kwa Zulu Natal province, an area devastated by the effects of the disease.
They helped build a house and made friends with the group of young Zulu Warriors during the development project in 2011.
Now the warriors are coming to Gravesend for a concert on Friday, May 24 as part of their tour of the South East of England.
Sixteen-year-old Megan said: “They were such a fantastic group of people, always smiling and laughing - and we decided to organise a tour to raise money for the Houses of Hope.”
