A COLLEGE hit by a raft of planned job losses has been rated as the 12th best performing college in the country.
This week North West Kent College announced up to 48 posts are to be axed at its Gravesend and Dartford campuses due to a cut in Government funding.
The news coincides with the release of the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) league tables which ranked the college 12th in England and best in the county.
The college’s principal, David Gleed, says: “This is an absolutely superb achievement and a testament to the work that all our teaching and support staff put in day after day, with the vision of making North West Kent an outstanding college.”
