THE B265 on Hayes Lane has been reopened following a road accident this morning.

The road had been closed in both directions between Dripping Tap Traffic Lights and the B2212 Hayes Road junction.

An accident, involving a Chevrolet Kalos and Yamaha motorcycle, took place at around 7.50am outside Ravensbourne School.

A 27-year-old male motorcyclist was taken to Kings College Hospital, Denmark Hill, with pelvic and spinal injuries.

A male driver of the car was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, for checks and has now been discharged.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed two people were taken to hospital.

She said: “We were called at just before 7.50am to reports of a road traffic collision on Hayes Lane.

“We sent a single responder in a car and an ambulance crew to the scene.

“Our staff treated two patients.

"A man reported to be 27-year-old was treated for an injury to his pelvis and taken as a priority to King's College hospital in Denmark Hill.

“The second patient was treated for shock and taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough.”

No arrests have been made.
