JURORS in the Genson Courtney murder trial have retired to consider their verdict today (May 14).
Mr Courtney, the stepson of Plumstead former gangster Dave, was murdered by his uncle in a "planned and ruthless execution", prosecutors have told the Old Bailey.
The 23-year-old died in Banning Street, Greenwich, in July 2011 after being shot in the head as he left his girlfriend's house.
His uncle David Pinto, aged 33, of Tyler Street, Greenwich, and alleged accomplice Robert Bleach, aged 45, of Halstow Road, Greenwich, both deny having anything to do with the killing.
It is alleged the victim, a drug dealer and body-builder, fell out with Pinto over a debt in the weeks leading up to his death.
