THE mother of a Beckenham teenager who was shot dead in Penge last week says she has been left with a "broken heart".

Kadar Hussein, 19, of Upper Elmers End Road, was shot in the head in a car park at the end of Kenilworth Road and Westbury Road on Wednesday May 8.

His mother, Mune Hussein, 46, said: "He was full of life and full of energy. I cannot express how I feel in words.

"He (the culprit) has taken away everything, he has broken my heart."

The eldest of six children, Mr Hussein leaves behind four sisters and one brother.

Sister, Hannah Hussein, 16, said: "He was funny, jokey. He had a laugh that always made you laugh.

"He was so popular. He was someone who got along with everyone.

"So many people knew him - I would walk down the street and people would know me as Kadar's sister."

His cousin, Madina Behi, 32, of Marlow Road, Bromley, added: "He was really kind. If he saw a woman with shopping bags he would always help her.

"Who would have anything against him? Who would go out there with a gun to kill him?

"We just cannot comprehend it."

Mr Hussein was a keen Arsenal supporter and former pupil of Bishop Justus School, Bromley.

Ms Behi said: "Kadar is dead, we will never get him back, but for whoever did this to pay the price will give us comfort.

"It will mean so much to this family for anyone who knows anything to come forward and speak to the police."

No arrests have been made.
